Dogwood Elementary School’s hallways came alive with excitement and holiday cheer during the Dogwood Preschool Thanksgiving Day Parade. Preschoolers from the school’s Pre-K program delighted everyone as they recreated the magic of the famous New York City Thanksgiving Day Parade, complete with costumes, balloons, music, and festive spirit.
The parade began with the beloved Thanksgiving Day turkey leading the way, much to the excitement of students in grades K-5. Fifth-grade helpers played an important role, proudly carrying the signs that announced the start and end of the parade. As the parade traveled through the hallways, the preschoolers’ creativity and enthusiasm shone brightly.
Dressed in colorful costumes inspired by students’ interests, the Pre-K students waved joyfully as they carried balloons designed to mimic the giant ones seen in the iconic New York parade. Their energy and smiles were contagious as the older students clapped, cheered, and waved in support.
The parade was accompanied by festive music. Teachers and staff joined in the celebration, creating an atmosphere that highlighted the school’s strong sense of community.
As the Pre-K students marched through the hallways, their parade reminded everyone of the importance of celebrating small joys, focusing students and teachers on the spirit of Thanksgiving.
