The kindergarteners at Dogwood Elementary were excited to celebrate the letter "T” last week. They had been learning all about it all week, and the culminating activity was a Teddy Bear and Tiara Tea Party!
The children arrived at school wearing their best clothes, complete with tiaras for some. They were all carrying their favorite teddy bears. It was an all day affair. The students measured their bears and described their bears at teddy bear stations. Then they helped their teachers set up the tables with tiny tea cups and plates full of Teddy Grahams.
When everything was ready, the children gathered around the tables and sat down with their teddy bears. The teachers poured tea into their cups, and then they took a sip of tea and started to eat their Teddy Grahams.
As they ate, the children talked about all the things they knew that started with the letter T. They talked about their toys, their teachers, and their towns. They even talked about their teddy bears!
The Teddy Bear and Tiara Tea Party was a wonderful way to celebrate the letter T. The kindergarteners had a lot of fun and learned a lot too.
At the end of the day, the children took their teddy bears home with them. They were tired from all the fun, but they were also happy.
