Dogwood Elementary is gearing up for the 2023-24 school year. On August 7, the school held their annual meet the teacher night. Students eagerly lined up at class lists to see who they will be spending their year with.
Excitement was evident as students ran up to former teachers to give life updates, and new students met teachers for the first time. Friends reunited in the halls and talked about their summers. Students brought supplies to stock their new classrooms as they took inventory of their new spaces, anticipating the school year.
Animated chatter was the soundtrack for the night as teachers, parents, and students prepared for school. Car tags and bus information were also available for parents starting to plan for the first day of school on August 9. Though it is always hard to say goodbye to summer, based on the smiles on the faces of Dogwood families and teachers, the new school year is full of hope.
