100 Days of Learning at Dogwood

At Dogwood Elementary on January 26th, all kindergarteners and second graders participated in lots of fun activities that revolved around the 100th day of school. On this day all kindergarteners and second graders had fun while learning all about the number 100.

The kindergarten students had a blast doing lots of fun activities like dressing up like they are 100 years old. Some students wore a newspaper boy hat, wrinkles, a mustache, curlers, or a wig. Other activities included making a Fruit Loop necklace, counting to 100 in many different ways, sharing what items they would want a 100 of, and  what items they would not want 100 of.

Kindergartener Dominick Hobbs said, "It was so much fun!”

The second graders had a fun glow in the dark theme to go along with their 100th day of school. Each student made their own poster, box, or shirt that included 100 things. For example, one student had a box full of 100 Airheads. They also went to each classroom for a different and fun activity.

"It was very fun because we did a bunch of glow in the dark stuff," said second grader Davis Medling.

The teachers all enjoyed watching all the kids have fun while learning. Students were so excited and had the best time on the 100th day of school. It was a fun way to celebrate this amazing day and talk about the number 100!
