Dogwood commemorates 9/11 in a heartwarming way

Germantown, Tennessee--September 22, 2021--To recognize the 20th anniversary of 9-11, Dogwood decided to honor some of the community's most valuable helpers. Each grade at DES donated different items to fill over 250 goody bags for the city's first responders. These bags filled with cards and thank you notes from students were delivered on Sept. 11th to each fire station and police station.

The Dogwood teachers also collected donations to Feed the Frontline at Germantown Methodist Hospital.  With the help of local hero, Tammy Rivera, who has led and continues this movement through the pandemic, and also Germantown Grisanti's, who made 70 meals even on a busy night. Dogwood enjoyed celebrating these great people on the National Day of Service and Remembrance.
